One of my favorite classes at MassArt was Branding, led by Prof. Laura Woolpert. For this class, I developed the Pollination brand as an effort to create a system that’s first contribution of many would be to help people compare and select hotels, taking into consideration their sustainability policies and practices as well as price and overall rating. This user-friendly online tool is designed to cater to anyone seeking to embrace an environmentally conscious lifestyle throughout the year.
For this project I designed a cohesive brand which included a logo and its variations, brand icons, a website homepage, brand values, and a brand language. I conducted primary and secondary research, conducted multiple interviews, did market research, and created blue ocean maps to locate opportunity spaces. Looking ahead, Pollination envisions introducing sustainable products that tackle the issue of single-use wasteful items, particularly within the hotel industry, although not exclusively.
