THE HOUSE WITH ALL THE PATTERNS

My husband and I lived in this lovely Boston apartment for one year. Our home’s interior design was an expression of our love for vibrant, eclectic decor, as well as my passion for sustainability. Feeling cozy, stylish, and worldly, it highlighted our appreciation for travel and exploring new cultures.

I opted to give a new life to previously owned furniture prioritizing natural materials to provide contrasting textures and colors. This helped minimize the environmental impact of furniture production, and allowed me to piece together a puzzle of one-of-a-kind, colorful items that make this home unique and personal to us.

THE TROPICAL GALLERY-ESQUE APARTMENT

In 2020’s lockdown, I took the extra time in my hands as the perfect opportunity to tackle a project I had been wanting to do for a long time  — to revamp my parents’ apartment.

Making sure their vibrant oil painting collection and the gorgeous plant life were the stars of the show, I focused on fixing old pieces and implemented new ones that met their needs. Restoring iconic household elements to their former glory, the goal was to stay true to the apartment’s unique, gallery-esque character.

Setbacks like termites, supply chain backup, and lack of available contractors provided opportunities to get creative and learn new skills. Now, they live in a place that truly reflects their creative and fun personalities.
