SO YOU LOVE NATURE TOO?
Climate change is one of the most pressing issues we are facing. It’s so much more immense than us individually that it’s easy to feel discouraged when trying to confront the situation. Of course we, us people who deeply care about nature, are not alone. It is our everyday actions that make a difference, and together we impact more. Change starts with me, with you, and with all of us one by one.
There are endless ways to contribute to Earth by practicing conscious lifestyle choices like using less water, volunteering at a beach cleanup, being thoughtful about ethically sourced materials, eating less meat, purchasing less single-use products, reducing your overall waste, riding a bike or train instead of your car, recycling more, having your own vegetable patch, buying local, speaking about rising ecologic issues, and the list goes on…
I want to use this platform, since you’re already here, to offer another quick way to help, even if just a little bit.
Every little bit adds up. These are three of my favorite nonprofits helping protect the ocean, wildlife, and the Amazon Rainforest. If it’s possible for you, please consider donating what you can to these great causes.

THE OCEAN CLEANUP
Growing up in Puerto Rico, the beach has always been my favorite place to be. Snorkeling and swimming around fish and turtles throughout my life has given me a deep sense of connection to the water and all of the life it hosts. The Ocean Cleanup aims to reduce floating plastic waste by 90% and their efforts are already paying off and making a difference.

NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC SOCIETY
I have spent endless hours enamored, learning about Earth thanks to National Geographic. They have provided us an immense amount of educational content about nature, all the while helping preserve it themselves. Donating to them means supporting further research, conservation programs, and protecting wildlife.

RAINFOREST FOUNDATION
Being born in Venezuela, I remember finding a sloth in my backyard once and seeing macaws flying around every day. Although we might be far away from the Amazon, its fauna and flora need us now more than ever. Donating to Rainforest Foundation means helping indigenous communities in the Amazon Rainforest in their legal fight against illegal deforestation, helping preserve their land its life.
