For one of our Industrial Design classes led by Prof. Lars Fischer, my team developed a product that would provide an urban, biodiverse food source for bees and inspire people in Boston to raise awareness of bees’ importance.
Our team included Bedelyn Dabel, Nathan Reilly, Melanie Forster, Adele Hennigar, and myself. The entire design process was consistently collaborative, but we played our strengths best and each of us put our talents to work. Adele focused on research most, Melanie and Bedelyn focused on the 3D prototype, Nathan focused on the CAD model, and I focused most on the concept development and presentation, like which flowers would work per season, finding where we could install the product, photoshopping the CAD model into real life scenes, and creating the slide deck.
